Happy Halloween everyone! We had such a great time this year. Bodi and I even got into the spirit of the holiday by dressing up. My Mom made the girls these super cute BYU cheerleader uniforms. This is Sophie doing a cheer leading jump! Goooo Cougars!

I had to add a picture from Sophies school party this week. All the kids were so cute. We had a progressive party. They got to go trick or treating at every ones houses.

I have not been feeling well for the past 5 days. Today has been one of the worst so far, but I have been feeling very creative the past few days so I am ignoring this nasty cold. Today I made these cute mini pumpkin pies. I found them on Bakerella.com. Go check her out...she has the cutest stuff!

It has been a few year since Bodi and I actually carved pumpkins at our house. This year I wasn't feeling so well so Bodi took over. For some reason I thought that the kids would like to dive in with both hands and pull out the guts...but I forgot that they are my daughters and don't like stuff like that. We were originally going to carve 2 pumpkins but when Bodi got stuck doing all it himself he decided on one Frankenstein pumpkin!

Week 43...

Monday- The girls wanted spooky pancakes!
Tuesday- It was our turn for school this
week. We had T day. We talked about
teeth.
Wednesday- Sophie is obsessed with
this halloween puzzle. She does
it at least 20 times a day.
Thursday- School again. We did
some halloween crafts!
Friday- I found a recipe for home made
doughnuts. They were so yummy!
Saturday- Mommy has
been sick all weekend so Nana came
to babysit the girls and Mom while
Daddy went to the BYU game.
Sunday- Sophie has been begging
me for weeks to take a picture of
her dog. Here it is.

My 5:

1. My Mom lives close enough to watch my girls when I am sick

2. Great Home Teachers and Visiting Teachers (they brought me dinner and cookies)

3. Halloween crafts

4. Craft blogs....I am trying to be crafty

5. A good husband who tries really hard to do everything I do when I am sick

Week 42...

Monday- Sophie started running a fever so I took her in to the doctor. We were shocked when we heard she had Swine Flu!
Tuesday- Even though I had sick kids I got to get my hair done! Went dark and got bangs.
Wednesday- Poor Sophie was quarantined to her room. She got to watch movies all day!
Thursday-Laynie started getting sick today. But that didn’t stop her from coloring on
the walls.
Friday-Uncle Buc and Aunt Tara sent the girls a get well package!
Saturday-Our ward harvest party was tonight. Laynie had her 1st cotton candy.
Sunday- Bodi finally got a deer this year. He had to pack it out on his back!

Oink, Oink...

I was in total shock when I took Sophie to the doctor on Monday and found out that she had the Swine flu! Poor thing was so sick this week. She had a high fever and cough. The worst part of the whole thing was that she couldn't be around Laynie. She had to wear this mask every time she came out of her room. She was such a trooper and in such good spirits even though she felt so yucky! We had a little scare on Wednesday when Laynie started running a 105 degree fever. Luckily Laynie got better after a day. I didn't think we would get it, but we did and we survived!

Week 41...

Monday- It is not very often that the Anderson Family gets together. Today we said goodbye to Grandpa Bill. He was such a great man with an amazing testimony of the gosple. We will miss him!

Tuesday- The girls have not enjoyed the cool weather as much as I have. All they want to do is play outside so we compromise with the garage.

Wednesday- Laynie loves to read books. This is how I find her most days...cozy on the couch with a good book!

Thursday- I just had to document the mess I get to deal with day after day. This is the typical mess from 1 child after 1 meal. Times that by 2 children and 3 meals... that equals on big mess I get to clean up every day!

Friday- We took another trip to the Day Farms pumpkin patch. We went on a hay ride and got to pick out our very own pumpkins.

Saturday- Laynie has been talking about going potty lately so I pulled out the baby potty for her to try it. This morning she told me that she needed to go so I took off her diaper and set her on the potty. The next thing I knew she had gone poo! We were so proud!

Sunday- The girls love hot chocolate for a treat!

Pumpkin Patch...

I couldn't wait to get out to the pumpkin patch this year. It has been a family tradition to visit the Day Farm Patch down the street from our house. My Cousin Amy and her family went with us again this year. We love to go on the hay ride and pick out any pumpkin we want. Again this year we found some huge and unique pumpkins! Can't wait to carve them!

We finally got our family pictures taken for this year. My amazing photographer is my best friend Abbey with AK Studio & Design. We went out to the Daybreak lake. I am so excited about how they turned out! Now I just have to decide what I am going to do for our Christmas card!

Monday- The girls and I went up the canyon with my Mom, Hannah,
and the Wright girls to see the leaves. They were so beautiful!

Tuesday- I finally got to go to a taping of Good things Utah.
Rachel’s trendy tikes ties were featured.

Wednesday- Laynie has allergies really bad. Her skin turns bright
red if she gets touched. I am glad that it doesn’t hurt her.

Thursday- today was free cookie day at Mrs. Fields cookies.
Bodi met us at the mall to get our cookies!

Friday-Sophie and i made place mats with the beautiful
leaves that we got from the canyon.

Saturday- I now have 2 big helpers when I want to
bake. Laynie now had to be right there and “help” every time.

Sunday- Today was Grandpa Bill’s viewing. He passed away
on Thursday. We are going to miss you grandpa!

I have been watching Good Things Utah for the past 4 years and today I finally got to go taping. Rachel's cute Trendy Tikes ties were featured in a segment because she sells them at Bliss Boutique. It was really fun to see all the things that go on to put together a television show. The best part was meeting the "Ladies". They were so cute in person and just as nice as they are on the show. We got a free cookbook and even got to try the salmon salad that they made today. Thanks Rachel for the tickets. It was a blast!

Lovin Fall

I have been so excited about fall and I couldn't wait to get up in the canyon to see the leaves. For FHE my Mom and our friends the Wrights went up to Huntsville to see the leaves. We took a picnic and as you can see the girls were all so excited! Nana with the girls!

The canyon was beautiful!

We wished Daddy could have been there but maybe he will be able to come next time!

Week 39...

Monday- Laynie thinks she is a big girl now because she can sit up at the bar without her booster seat.
Tuesday- I love watching
Sophie on her way to school.
She gets so excited as she
rides her scooter.
Wednesday- Sophie looked
so cute today I straightened
her hair and she got to
wear her cute boots.
Thursday- All of the
sudden I heard Sophie
trying to sniff something
up her nose. What was it?
A piece of corn. She shoved it up there and I had to get it out with tweezers.
Friday- Sophie is my new little
helper. She loves to clean
with her special squirt
bottle.
Saturday- The girls love to
come into bed with Bodi and
I. They love to jump on Daddy’s tummy and wake him up.
Sunday- Laynie has a new way of getting what she wants. She usesthe stool from the
bathroom and moves it to play with the silverware.

Fire Station Field Trip...

Sophie's preschool had their 1st field trip to the fire station on Tuesday. All the kids were so excited and so nervous at the same time. The fire men were so sweet to the kids and showed them all the fun things at the station. They got to see what the fire man will look like if he had to come into our house.

Then they got to see the lights and hear the siren. As you can see they were all ready!

Nana got to come and help with Laynie. She didn't like the siren as much as the other kids.

I think the best part was when the kids sang their fireman song to the real firemen. They really liked it!

Week 38...

Monday Sophie started making her own sandwich,
peanut butter, honey & raisin!

Tuesday I was so
proud of Sophie! She was the 1st one in her class
to memorize her poem and get a prize.

Wednesday Happy Birthday Grandma Debbie!
We had a surprise party for her in Orem.

Thursday I got to play dress up this week
and model some beautiful wedding dresses. (picture coming soon)

Friday We took another trip to the zoo with
Emily and the kids. We got to see all the new babies.
Our favorite was Zurrie the baby elephant.

Saturday A disappointing season opener for BYU.
We still had fun in our new seats!

Zoo Babies...

My Cousin Emily and her family invited the girls and I to the zoo on Friday. We were so excited to go see all the baby animals. It has been a long time since the zoo has had any babies.

The baby giraffe has gotten bigger since we saw her last but still just as cute.

Little Zurrie melted my heart when I saw her. She is sooooo cute. She was playing in the dirt and trying to dig a hole with her little trunk. I just wanted to squeeze her and take her home!

Week 37...

Monday- Labor Day! We had a super fun holiday. Daddy went golfing with Popi and Pop Pop while Nana, Aunt Jan & the girls went 4 wheeling up in Mantua. It was fun!

Tuesday-Today was Sophie’s first day of preschool for the year. She was so excited about her new backpack and school clothes. She also started her 1st day of performance academy.

Wednesday- Bodi had his first steak flag football game. He got to play quarterback and the girls and I went to watch and cheer Daddy on!

Thursday- Sophie’s second day of preschool. This week was at our house. Today was apple day so we made apple pie pops. The kids loved them!

Friday- We got together at Bella’s for Dinner with Dad, Susan, Rachel, Chad and the kids to celebrate Rachels pregnancy! Congrats Rachel & Chad...can’t wait till April!

Saturday- We had our family pictures taken today by Abbey. We had them taken at Daybreak so we went to visit the new Oquirrh Temple. Sophie loved it. She kept saying how much she wanted to go in!

Sunday- I saw this recipe on my favorite show Good Things Utah for Peach French toast and peach syrup. It was so yummy!

18 Month update...

I can't believe that my baby is 18 months old already! Even though she thinks she is 3 she is still my little baby.

Sophie started her 1st day of preschool. She was so excited! She had her new backpack and new clothes! This is her pose that she had to do!

Today was also her 1st day of Performance Academy. This is her singing and dancing group. She is going to have so much fun...no wait, I am going to have so much fun! I was a little jealous that she gets to sing and dance every week! Here is a picture of all the little girls in our neighborhood that she will be performing with.

Labor day adventures...

We had a fun Labor Day this year. Bodi went golfing with Popi and Pop Pop while the rest of us went 4 wheeling up in Mantua. This was the girls first time riding and they had a great time! It was a beautiful day, the scenery was lovely...until we turned the corner and ran into an officer. I got my 1st ticket ever for having Laynie in an "unapproved" helmet. I guess her mushroom helmet wasn't good enough! Oh well! We still had a fun time!
