Snow Day...

I have lived in Utah for 14 years and I don't ever remember there being a "Snow Day". We got the call at 6 am and I knew the girls were going to be thrilled. We started the day off with pancakes and hot chocolate. They could hardly wait to get outside.

We had 11 inches in one spot of the yard and lots more in others.
After the first snow play of the day the entire neighborhood came over for a pajama party. The girls planned it all themselves. They had a movie, music, blankets, popcorn and hot chocolate.
When Daddy got home the real fun began. We hooked up the sleds to the back of the truck and spent 2 hours driving around the neighborhood.

I even braved the sleds and froze my face off!
Will even got in on the snow day action for a few minutes.

Snow days are so much fun! I hope this is a day my girls will always remember!

2013 Week 1

I have really loved my 365 scrapbooks. It is a lot of effort and can get overwhelming at times. I already take a ton of pictures so that is not an issue. It is the time to put the pages together. I didn't realize that having 3 kids would change my life so much but it has and I wouldn't have it any other way. I have decided that I am going to continue doing my pages but I want to focus on the journaling. Besides the pictures it is the most important thing. I want to turn it into more of a family journal than a scrapbook. I am hoping that this will cut down on the amount of pages I need to do in the family book. (yes I do more that one yearly book!) The pages will be boring but so much more meaningful in the end. So here goes! Week 1...wish me luck!

Christmas 2012

Christmas this year was a success! Even though we had a few set backs it has been a wonderful time. We had all been sick for the past week and a half on and off. Poor Sophie was sick with a high fever for the past few days but has been a trooper. Laynie has had the croup and has had a hard time sleeping.

Wills 1st Christmas! I couldn't help taking a picture in the Santa suite.

Christmas Eve we spent with my family. We went to the movies and then headed to our house for a talent show and nativity. Sophie played Up on the Housetop with Nana on the piano while Laynie sang. Will was baby Jesus in the nativity.
Santa made a stop at our house!

Sophie was so excited about her Monster High dolls. (She was feeling so yucky!)

Will was in heaven with all the new stuff to chew on!

The girls were in shock when they opened their present from Bodi and I. Justin Bieber tickets!

Santa brought me a large Saranoni blanket and some boots. Santa was good to me this year!

Bodi surprised me with a new gun...I was a bit shocked!

 Our annual Christmas morning picture.

 Our traditional breakfast casserole

Timmy was so worn out from all the celebrations!

We ended the night with a bon fire to burn up all our wrapping paper (Bodi's idea)

It was a perfect holiday!

Celebrating Halloween...all month long!

We love to celebrate around here! This month we had so much fun celebrating Halloween.

The month started off right with the Young Woman's party. I was able to help teach the girls Thriller with the help of my friend Emily.  Here are the leaders all dressed up. Sis Petty had a little too much fun!

We took our traditional trip to the Day Farms pumpkin patch. We always get the best pumpkins there!

I was able to go with Laynie on her preschool field trip to the pumpkin patch. The kiddos had so much fun!

Over fall break we went with our friends to Gardner Village to see the witches.

Laynie had her Halloween program for preschool. She sang lots of songs and poems. She did so great!

We got together with the Rhodes side of the family to celebrate Grandpa Rhodes birthday and Halloween. It is always so much fun to see all the cousins.

These are most of the babies 2 and under.

Will and Ryker (they are 2 months apart) Will looks like he ate Ryker!
We got to spend the night with Grandma!
 I love this picture!
The kiddos got vampire teeth from Uncle Mike.

We decorated pumpkins! I love it!
We did a Cinderella's carriage and a spider this year.
Laynie had so much fun at her preschool party!

I was able to go to Sophie's 1st grade party and help play games.

Here are my 2 princesses and my little dragon!

My cute little dragon that had so much fun trick or treating that he fell asleep.

All this celebrating has worn me out! On to the next holiday!
