Day 4, 5 and 6...

Day 4: Watch a Christmas Movie. Santa made an early stop at our house to bring Sophie her Santa Buddies movie. She was so excited! Day 5: Visit Santa. We had a crazy day today. We had our ward party and then Sophie performed at the Festival of Trees. She did such a good job. She is a natural performer!

After the festival we tried to go visit Santa at Cabelas (they have the best Santa)...but he wasn't there yet. I was bummed. We will have to go back in a few weeks. We did get to see Santa at the Anderson Family Christmas Party. Sophie wasn't scared this time...even though she was sure that Santa was one of her uncles but she couldn't tell which one it was!

Laynie was not so excited about Santa.
Day 6: Have Hot Chocolate. Yummy!

1. Warm soup on a cold day

2.Making Christmas cards

3. Seeing all the lights on the houses

Ward Christmas Party...

Bodi and I are on our wards activity committee and yesterday was our Christmas breakfast. We had so much fun planning it this year...but we are glad that it is over. We had a polar express theme this year. We had a golden ticket invitation and everything. We had a pancake breakfast with all the fixings.
This was the gift that we gave everyone.
Everyone wore there Christmas PJ's.
As you can see Laynie loved hers.
The young women did a super cute dance to the "Hot Chocolate" song.

Can't wait til next year!

Look what I made today...

I have been looking for some cute Christmas shirts for the girls and haven't found anything that I like...so I made my own. I even made matching hair bows. Thanks Mom for your help! You are the best!!!

24 Days of Christmas....Day 1, 2 & 3

I saw a really fun idea in the Family Fun magazine. I have an activity planned for the 24 days before Christmas. Every afternoon Sophie gets to find a new slip of paper in the advent calendar. So far it has been a lot of fun!
Day 1: Write our Letters to Santa
Sophie's Letter to Santa

Laynies Letter to Santa She had to put it in the mail right away! The next day Sophie was so excited to get a letter back from Santa. She couldn't believe that he wrote her back so fast!

Day 2: Read a Christmas Story. We read Polar Express

Day 3: Make snowflakes. The girls love to color and to use scissors. Making snowflakes out of coffee filters is perfect for that.

Week 48...

Our Thanksgiving Weekend...

We have had such a great weekend. We have had a few family parties and I just had to post some pictures. My Uncle John and Aunt Sally came into town from Kansas. We haven't seen them in over 5 years. It was so great to see them and their kids. We had a party on Wednesday night and had a family talent show. It was so fun! Here is a picture of my Grandpa Rhodes with his Christmas present. He got it a little early because he is so cute! I just love the look on Grandpas face. He was so happy!
Sophie blew me away that night. She has been in a performing group this year. I haven't heard her sing either one of her songs. At the talent show she volunteered to go first and just nailed it. She sang both songs so well. I was so proud of her! She asked the next day if she could perform again...she cracks me up!

Richie played a little ditty on the guitar.
Stockton danced for us and so did Laynie!

Thanksgiving
Maddie, Jaylee and Sophie eating turkey!

We had a large group this year.

This is the best we could do at getting a group picture of all the kids.
EJ, Bridger, Maddie, Jackson, Jaylee, Jett, Laynie and Sophie

Black Friday: Yes we are the crazy ones who hit up the Orem Toys R Us at midnight. It was nuts but so much fun!
Oh yeah....then there was the BYU vs Utah game. Go Cougars!!!

2. Watching Laynie color

My very favorite decoration is our little people nativity set. My kids just love it and are playing with it every second.
