Week 32...

Milk & Cookies...

I just got put into Young Women's about a month ago and my partner in the Beehives was 9 months pregnant (She just had her baby yesterday!) The day we got put in my cute presidency advised me that we have to have a "surprise" shower for her. Of course I was super excited because I love nothing more than to throw a party! I found the idea for a Milk & Cookies shower from my blogging friend Autie. I loved and and that is what I had to do.

There is nothing better than a "surprise" shower. Melanie called me a few days before and told me that she couldn't make it to our "meeting". We had to push back the shower an hour so she could make it. I think it made for a better surprise! We had different kinds of milk and lots of yummy cookies.

I think my favorite part was the tissue balls and my lights. Even though it wasn't dark I still had to have them on the deck.
We had such a great turn out and Melanie got lot of fun gifts.
I made chocolate dipped Oreo cookie pops for the favor. They were a big hit!

Congratulations Melanie. Can't wait to see baby Ben when you get home tomorrow!

Missing You...

I can't believe that it has been 15 years since my cousin EJ passed away. I miss him so much. He was my big brother...
My Aunt created this video for him today. It just breaks my heart to watch it, but it brings back so many memories.
Love you EJ!

Bear Lake 2010...

We were lucky enough to go on the Wood/Romney annual trip to Bear Lake. We stayed up at the KOA. My Mom got Rachel and I cabins that were so great!
The kids and I went to the beach on Tuesday. They loved it even though it was freezing cold. Couldn't resist posting a picture of my cute nephew Bowen. He was such a good boy the whole week.
I think one of the best parts of the week was watching the girls spend time with their cousins. Laynie and Bridger are best buddies!
I love the KOA because they have tons of stuff for the kids to do. Every night they have a tractor or train ride.
They also have mini golf.
At the KOA they have bike rentals. We couldn't resist taking the whole family on a ride into town to get some yummy raspberry shakes.
We all went to the Pickleville Playhouse to see "Bandito Rides Again" Sophie got called up on stage to help with the opening song. She did great! The show was soooo funny. If you have a chance to go see it...do it!

Thursday was another beach day. The sun (moon) was out and it was a beautiful day.

We were so excited when my Mom went to rent a jet ski and came back with a boat! Sophie went on her 1st tube ride. She was a little nervous at first but I think she liked it.

Daddy turned Sophie into a mermaid.

Laynie shocked us all by falling asleep on the beach. She slept for 3 1/2 hours in the shade. We had such a great time with the family. Can't wait til next year!

Week 28...

Our 4th...or the 3rd I guess

I was looking forward to 4th of July this year. I made the girls these cute dresses to wear to the parade. We didn't end up making it to the parade this year. Bodi got food poisoning the night before and was having a hard morning.
We had a pool party with some friends that afternoon.
Laynie enjoyed the BBQ very much!
We had our own fireworks show with some of the neighbors. Laynie loved the sparklers.
Sophie was so excited that she caught a parachute! Again this year she was a little nervous about the noise.

We had a great Independence weekend. I am so grateful to live in the USA and to have the freedoms that we do. I feel so blessed!

Week 26...

Lehi Round-Up...

We went down to celebrate Round-Up days in Lehi this weekend. We made it to the pancake breakfast on Saturday morning. My sis Rachel was in charge of the 5k run so we had her kids with us at the park. We walked around the park and got to see all the baby animals. Laynie was SUPER excited to see the turtle!
After breakfast we went to the parade. The girls loved all the candy and the music.
The highlight of the parade was seeing Cosmo. Sophie was so excited to meet him but Laynie was sooo scared. I have never seen her get so upset and scared before. Bodi and I couldn't stop laughing at her. (we are mean!)
Thanks Dad for letting us come to the parade with you!
