Memory Tag

I got this fun game from Misty's blog. Try it out!

1.As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Fun Weekend

We have had a very busy and very fun weekend! We have decided that since gas is $4 a gallon we are going to try and stay close to home this summer and save up for a big trip next year. Because of this we have gotten to do lots of fun things around here. I have always wanted to be one of those Moms that makes memories with my kids. I know that my girls are still really young but I want to start early making memorise for them. I think that is why I tried to pack so much stuff into one weekend!
On Thursday my Mom and I took the girls to Roy Aquatic Center for my ward enrichment activity. We had a blast! This place has the best kids stuff. Sophie had tons of fun playing in the water with her friends and sliding down the big slide with me.
Friday was Lagoon day. Again my Mom and the kids went to Lagoon. Sophie went to Lagoona Beach with her Aunts and Uncles. Then I took her on the carousel and train ride. Now she is asking to go back! Friday night we went up to the Crowleys cabin up in Heber to spend the weekend.
Saturday at the cabin Angie and I let the kids play in the baby pool while we got some sun. That night we went to Park City to hit up Baja Cantina (yum yum) and the Alpine Slide. Sophie loved the slide. She wanted Bodi to go faster.
Sunday we hung out at the cabin and the guys took the kids on the 4 wheelers.
We have had a great weekend spending time with our family and friends. We don't need to go anywhere fancy to have a great time when we can do it here!

Cute Laynie

I don't know what it is about Laynie, but I just can't get enough of her! She just makes me happy every time I see her. I just got a new camera with video so I filmed her right when she wakes up. She always gives me a big smile and kicks her little feet! It makes my day start out so well when she is happy. She has also started cooing a ton. I got her doing a little bit of that on the video. I don't know why but I feel like I am enjoying having her around a lot more than I did Sophie. I don't mean that I didn't enjoy Sophie when she was a baby, its just that I think that I appreciate having a little baby and I'm not wanting her to grow up as fast. I am cherishing every little moment and everything she does because I know now that it will be gone way too fast. ( To watch the video you may want to turn your head to the side and turn off the music at the bottom of the blog so that you can hear her cute little voice!)

Birthday Invitations

I made some birthday invitations for my friend Miriam's little girl Meg. She is turning 2 and she is adorable. I took some quick pictures of her yesterday and they turned out super cute (Abbey I used some of your tricks and they worked! Thanks). Just to let everyone know I create baby announcements, birthday invitations, wedding announcements, and Christmas cards. If anyone is interested please let me know.

Fun at the Zoo

Sophie has been begging me to take her back to the zoo for months. Saturday we decided to hit the zoo. My Mom and sister Hannah came with us and boy was it HOT! We didn't get there until about noon so we went at the worst time. Sophie loved to see the animals and ride the new carousel that her Uncles and Grandpa Anderson helped to build. We were all so hot and tired that we didn't get to half of the zoo. That means we will be back again soon!

PG 10 Year Reunion

A few weeks ago Bodi had his 10 year High School reunion. We thought it was going to be super fun to get together will all of his buddies but the whole thing was a real let down. There were only a few of his friends there and not a whole lot of ways to get to talk and catch up. It was a $60 buffet. I only knew 2 people there so I was glad that we had some fun people at our table. (Thanks Haley for the picture!) It really helped Bodi and I to be thankful for where we are in our lives. We are both so glad that we are not still in HS.The whole experience is making me question if I want to go to my 10 year. All I know is that whoever is in charge better make it fun!!

Summer is Here!

Nothing quite says summer like water and popsicles. This has been the first official week of summer. We finally have temperatures over 80 degrees so it is time to bring out the baby pool. I love that we have a great back yard that I can send Sophie and her friends out to play in. They love to play in the baby pool and jump on the trampoline. Check out Sophies crazy hair. It is out of control!

Wood Reunion

We had a really fun weekend. We went to my Stepdads family reunion at Camp Lomia in Logan Canyon. This was our first attempt at camping with 2 kids. Yes I said camping!!! It was my kind of camping with bathrooms and showers! We survived. The girls both did very well. Sophie loved to sleep in the tent in her sleeping bag. On Saturday Bodi went golfing while my Mom and I took the kids to Bear Lake to go swimming. We had a great time being together as a family!

Happy Fathers Day!

I just wanted to post a little bit about my Husband on this Fathers Day. He is such a great Daddy to our two little girls! He is always playing with them and making them laugh. He is so great with them because I don't worry about how they are when they are with him. I am so grateful for him and all that he does for us!
We love our Dads and we are thankful that we have such great Fathers in our lives!

Taking the Train

Sophie has been so excited to ride the new train. The Front Runner is the new commuter train that has a station a few blocks from our house. We took the train tonight up to Ogden for dinner with our friends the Crowley. Sophie loved it! She kept telling me how much fun she was having. I am glad that the little things still make her happy!

Neigborhood Fun Run

Today was our wards annual fun run. Bodi and I are on the activities committee so we didn't get to run (darn!) My Mom and sisters came and took the girls on the run. We had a great turn out this year and had a lot of fun!

Which Princess are You?

So I found this survey on another blog and thought it was fun! I happen to be Princess Jasmine: Independent and adventurous. You don't want much; just to break out of the guilded cage society has put you in and experience life to the fullest. Following orders isn't really one of your strong points, and you would rather live a life of poverty than being forced into something that you hate.
It sounds like me. I wish I had her body!!! Which princess are you?

3 Months

Laynie is 3 months old today! I can't believe it. I remember the time flying by with Sophie but now with 2 kids I feel like it is way too fast! Laynie is getting so big. She is already 11lbs and about 24 inches long. She is cooing non stop and the wiggliest kid I know. She is a very happy baby that loves to play with her toys and go on walks outside. She still looks like Sophie but she now has her own cute look. I love her so much and wish she could stay this cute and innocent forever!

Potty Training!!!

Our house has turned into potty training central! On Saturday I asked Bodi to spend the entire day at home so we could start potty training. ( I recommend having a second adult when you have a little baby) The morning was a mess with lots of accidents. I was in tears and ready to give up. We decided to keep going and try and keep her on the potty as long as possible. We played with her toys, read books, and even watched a movie. After about 5 hours she got it! I am happy to report that she is doing great! It has been 2 days and sh is getting better and better!
