1st talk...
Sophie gave her 1st talk in primary today. Last week she was the only one in our class that volunteered. Her topic was "There is safety in following the Prophet". She talked about the Prophet Noah. She used the little people ark as a visual aid. She did such a great job!
Yes...I am very proud!
The Fighting Irish...
There are three of us that have birthday's in the same week so we decided to throw ourselves a party. Actually it was just an excuse to have a party! Since the Ratchford family is the token Irish family in the neighborhood we decided to have a St. Patricks day party.
Here are the Birthday Girls (Rachel, Shannon and Me)
We learned a lot about the Irish. We had Irish food, songs, words and of course some dancing.
Kyle learned how to drink (chocolate milk) like an Irishman.
Bodi learned how to kiss the Blarney Stone like and Irishman.
We also learned how to fight like and Irishman. The party quickly turned into a fight night. The wives got 30 seconds to beat on their husbands. The best part was that they couldn't fight back!
I tried my best to make Bodi cry. It didn't work but it sure was fun beating him up!
Rachel got Davey pretty good!
We had a great time and learned a ton about being an Irishman!

Happy Green Day...
I love to celebrate every holiday and so we celebrated St. Patricks day yesterday. We started the day with GREEN pancakes. I love my oatmeal, whole wheat pancake recipe. 
For dinner everything was GREEN! I made GREEN chicken roll-ups with GREEN sauce, GREEN peas, GREEN pears, GREEN cucumbers and GREEN salad.
For dessert we had some GREEN clover rice crispy treats from our friend Staci!

Yo Ho, Yo Ho a Pirates Life for Me...
Laynie had a super fun day on her birthday. When she woke up I think she knew that it was her special day. She got to open up her presents from us. 
I got her babysitter barbie that goes potty...hint hint.
She also got a tonka truck. She was so excited to get it outside and push it around.
Then she got her traditional McDonald's pancakes. She was soooo excited because she just watched Sophie get hers a few weeks ago. I just love this picture of her!
We had Laynies party at Pirate Island Pizza in Orem. If you know me well you would know that I love to plan a party. I can't have a party without a coordinating outfit. Thanks Nana for her super cute skirt.
I was so excited about these cupcakes. I know they aren't anything special but I loved them!
Laynie had a fun time riding on the rides and playing games. She was "sad"...I mean MAD that she had to stop to eat dinner.
She had everyone sing to her and she got really excited about that. She kept yelling out Happy Birthday. I think she knew that it was her special day.

Happy 2nd Birthday Laynie...
I am having a hard time today. My baby is 2! It is hard to think that I don't have a baby at my house anymore. It really feels like she was just born. My has she changed in the past 2 years!

The Happiest Place on Earth...

We just got back from our trip to Disneyland. We had such a great time! I think I get more excited about going than my girls do! Laynie took her 1st plane ride over to Cali and she did great. She sat and watched her movie the whole way.
Day 1:
We started our day at Disneyland getting our free tickets. I was super excited that I got a pin just for volunteering! The girls got a pin for their birthdays. Everywhere we went the staff told Sophie happy birthday.
This picture is just a sample of how lovely Laynie was our whole trip. She was afraid of all the rides that were a little dark and she was mad that she had to wait in line for a few minutes for the rides. She was a mess...but we had a good time anyways.
We went with our friends the Richins. This is Kara and Sophie waiting for the princess walk. They had their autograph books all ready to go.
The girls were so excited!
We got to see Mickey!
We went to Goofy's Kitchen for dinner. I would highly recommend this to everyone that goes. The food was delicious and we got to see lots of the characters.
Cameron- this is for you!
Laynie was so scared of Goofy. She wouldn't let go of me!
Sophie was the exact opposite. She even got to dance with Goofy.
Day 2:

Day 3:We took a trip to the beach. It rained after a few minutes of being there. Then we hit the malls and tired to go back. When we got there we found out the entire pacific coast was closed off because of a possible tsunami. It was kind of a bummer that we didn't get to spend more time but Laynie finally got to see the beach and she loved it!

Me- Sophie let's go potty before we get on the plane. Sophie- That's okay, I can hold it until we get to Disneyland.
Waiting in line for a ride and Sophie says "Mom, all of my dreams have come true!"
Getting on Star Tours she asks if we are going somewhere. I told her we were going to space. After we got off she asked "Are we still at Disneyland?"
Laynie:
-Dancing during the Small World ride
-screaming, shaking and flipping out because she can't wait to get on the carousel
- loving the beach and trying to run right into the water.
