We won't be doing that again............

Yesterday was the first BYU football game of the season. Bodi and I have been really looking forward to going (see last post). Well we ended up not having a babysitter and we were in a bit of a pickle. The problem is that Laynie decided that she doesn't want a bottle anymore!! I am way past done nursing her because of her two little chompers. It doesn't help that she has been sick for the past few weeks with a sinus infection that has made her throat hurt. Anyways, we sent Sophie to my Dads to play while we took Laynie to the game. Big mistake!! I don't know how all the other parents do it with their 3 little kids hanging on them sitting in the blistering heat with a smile on their faces. It was 98 degrees at 4pm yesterday and Laynie was not having it. She was tired, hungry and very hot. Notice the pictures from the game...on the grass outside the stadium. I didn't get to watch one down of the game. So needless the say, we are not bringing kids to anymore games....ever! (maybe when the get a little bigger)

Gooooooooooo Cougars!

I am so excited that the BYU football season is about to start this weekend! I just love to go to football games. I love the game, the atmosphere, the cheerleaders, the band (all but the flag girls), and of course the mint brownies. I also love to spend time with Bodi. This time of year is crazy with hunting season and we never get to spend time together except for the games. So get ready Ute fans the Cougars are going to have a great season. Gooooooooo Cougars!!

I love my life

Today has been such a good day for me! I have done a lot of thinking about my life and I have come to the realization that I LOVE my life. I have so many things to be grateful for. I have a fantastic husband who works very hard to give our family everything we need. I am fortunate to be able to stay home with my girls and see them grow up. I get to play with them and teach them new things. Today Laynie laughed for the first time and I almost cried. She is such a precious little child of God. I have a beautiful home, great family and lots of friends. I LOVE my life!!

Fun Fun Fun

It is officially hunting season and whats a girl to do while her husband is away? HAVE FUN!! The girls and I went down to St. George this past week for a little getaway. We got to spend time with lots of family and friends. Sophie loved it because she had her Grandma Anderson and Nana Wood with her. She also had her aunt Hannah, Uncle Tim, Great Aunt Jan, and cousins Emily, Heidi, Andy, Jaylee and Jett. My MIL came with us and let us stay with her at her condo. She brought my niece Gracee and my nephew Bubba. We had a fun time.
Here are the kids at the fountain downtown.
Laynie had a good time too!

On Thursday night we celebrated my Moms Birthday by having a girls night out to watch Le Mis at Tuaccan. The show was AMAZING! It took all I had to sit in my seat and not jump on stage and sing along! Thanks Mom for the great seats. I hope you had a fun birthday!
Laynie and Hannah at another splash park.
The cousins enjoying the sun.
Friday night we went to see Sound of Music at Tuaccan. It was a lot of fun. Again I was singing the songs the whole time. This time there was audience participation and I loved it!

We ended out trip with a birthday party for my nephew Bridger. He is turning 1 on the 23rd. (by the way that is Emily Hoovers 30th b-day as well!) He had fun opening presents and eating his peach cake.

We had a ton of fun this weekend! I hope that we can do it again next year!

Finished!

I finally finished Breaking Dawn! It took me a whole week because....2 kids.... need I say more? I must say that I really enjoyed it. I know that there are a lot of people that were not happy with the book and said that it was boring and predictable. I didn't think so. I wasn't reading this book to change my life or solve all of the worlds problems. I also wasn's expecting it to be the best piece of writing I have ever read. I knew that it was going to be an enjoyable read that took me out of reality for a few minutes and I loved it! Now I am counting down the days until Twilight hits theaters.

You know you have been reading Breaking Dawn when....

... you look at your 5 month old that just got her two bottom teeth and get a little nervous thinking " Is she going to bite me?" I need to hurry and finish so I can get back to reality!

Family Pictures

We finally got our pictures taken together as a family for the first time in 2 years. My friend Abbey with AK Studio & Design took them for us. She did such a great job. These are just a few of my favorites.

Swimming Lessons

I taught swimming lessons this week for some of my friends kids and Sophie. I couldn't believe that after 12 years of teaching lessons that I was finally teaching my own daughter. I was a little bugged because she wouldn't do anything for me. I thought she wasn't learning anything until today when she decided that she wanted to do everything that the other kids were doing. She is a stinker. I am so proud of the kids because they did such a great job and learned so much.

Thanks

Thanks Alison for the tip on sitemeter. Everyone get rid of it!! It messes up your blog!
