We won't be doing that again............

Yesterday was the first BYU football game of the season. Bodi and I have been really looking forward to going (see last post). Well we ended up not having a babysitter and we were in a bit of a pickle. The problem is that Laynie decided that she doesn't want a bottle anymore!! I am way past done nursing her because of her two little chompers. It doesn't help that she has been sick for the past few weeks with a sinus infection that has made her throat hurt. Anyways, we sent Sophie to my Dads to play while we took Laynie to the game. Big mistake!! I don't know how all the other parents do it with their 3 little kids hanging on them sitting in the blistering heat with a smile on their faces. It was 98 degrees at 4pm yesterday and Laynie was not having it. She was tired, hungry and very hot. Notice the pictures from the game...on the grass outside the stadium. I didn't get to watch one down of the game. So needless the say, we are not bringing kids to anymore games....ever! (maybe when the get a little bigger)

Oh Amanda, you're going to hate me for leaving this comment, so I apologize first and foremost. But, I assure you that you are a good person for not planning on bringing your baby back to another game because I'm fairly certain that most people don't like babies/toddlers/little kids at games (or movies for that matter -- is that just me?). Bless you for not adding to the problem in the future.

gotta love em! It seems like kids have a radar that goes off when they know it is something you really want to do. It sets off their ornery button instantly! She does look very cute though in her little bow.

Sorry you had a rough time at the game. She does look adorable though. At least you have pictures to prove that you attempted it!

Oh...that stinks! poor Laynie being sick, You were brave to even attempt the game with her. It is so hard because sometimes (just sometimes) I think of all the times that Bridger was Super good at places where he otherwise could have caused a ruckus...an Angel...but it never fails that when I decide to take him to something big like that...he just falls apart. I'd have to agree with emilee...I don't blame you for deciding to bring her again. I guess that when I FINALLY get to go out without Bridger to something like a movie or a play...I get so annoyed when other people bring their babies/toddlers who are loud or just plain don't want to be there. So I decided that Unless I had a sitter for things like that...I'm better off hanging out at home! I guess this will just be our lives until our babies are growm up and we can ditch them more often!

Hey we missed you Sat. I have a few outfits for Sophie! I am sorry the game was hard. I think you are a good person, whether or wheter not you take kids again. Of course it is easier without, but sometimes you do what you have to. A lot of times people don't discipline their children that is the problem not the kids being there. Most times you have to pay for little kids to go, they have every right to be there as much as anyone else. You are always on top of your kids, so would not be contributing to :"the problem" as emilee said. Sorry just my 2 cents. you know me. (Hopefully that didn't come off wrong) This wasn't directed at anyone just my own rant! :)

Sorry your game wasn't as fun as you expected. I have been trying to get Weston to take me to a game for two years now. I want to go so bad but I am determined to go since this is Westons last year down there. So maybe we will see you guys there! hopefully your next game goes better!

Amanda, I should have said this on Saturday but AJ is going to go to every home game and I will usually just be home with my girls. If you are ever in a bind again I would be more than happy to watch your girls for you while you are at the game. I know some weekends Lynette might be in town and we might take the kids somewhere fun but it all depends on timing (naps, lunch, what time the game is ...) So really if you ever need me to watch them just let me know!
