Funny Friday

I have been wanting a way to document all the funny things that happen during the week. Sophie is always saying and doing funny things so I decided that on Fridays I would pick my favorites and post them. So here goes.

Bodi loves to eat leftovers for lunch at work, so every night I pack him a Tupperware container full of food. After telling me she was all done with her breakfast, Sophie got down from her chair and got a tupperware container out of the cabinet. Then she dug around for a few minutes till she found the matching lid. she dumped in her leftover french toast and apples, put the lid on and set it by the fridge. I laughed so hard I almost cried. It is amazing the things kids learn by example.

You know how the experts say that you should never leave a toddler unattended with an infant because they might hurt them. Well I can't leave mine unattended because she used her sister as a human art project!

Earings!!!

I guess it is now a tradition in our family for the baby girls to get their ears pierced right after their 2 month checkup. On Saturday my Mom, Sophie and I went to the mall and got Laynies ears pierced. Doesn't she look so cute!

A Great Day to be a Mother!

Happy Mothers Day to all of you Mothers and Mothers-to-be out there! I have had such a wonderful Mothers Day today because we were able to bless Laynie today. It was so fun to get her all dressed up in her beautiful white dress. She sure didn't like the bonnet too well. Bodi did a wonderful job with her blessing. Thank you to all of our family and friends that were able to come and celebrate with us.
I am so thankful for my Mom and all of the things that she has taught me. I am so thankful for my two little angels that have made me a Mom and that is all I have ever wanted to be!

Laynie is 2 Months!

I can't believe that my baby girl is 2 months old! It really has flown by. She is getting so big so fast. I am not used to having a healthy normal baby. She is wearing outfits that Sophie wore when she was 6 months old. She is holding her head up like a big girl and loves to look at her toys. She always melts my heart when she gives me one of her big smiles! I love to watch her look at Sophie every chance she gets. She is so beautiful and I love her so much!

Bye Bye Passy

Sophie is a passy girl. She has been since she was tiny. Everyone told me to take it away when she was 1 but I didn't listen. She has only grown more attached to it in the past 6 months. She wants it all the time, cant sleep without it and i think she really loves it! Well, it has been a very challenging week for Sophie. She was just getting over her chicken pox when we went to Brady's wedding down in Fountain Green. While we were there she lost her passy. Bodi and I decided right there that we were going to put an end to the passy. After a two hour car ride home with begging, pleading and lots of crying we made it home. It took us two more hours to put her to bed that night. We stayed strong and didn't give it to her the next day. We fought with her to take a nap for 3 hours. She cried, screamed, and worked herself up a real good fit. We finally gave up on the nap and let her play. She may be a stubborn little things but I knew that she needed a nap. She fell asleep standing up next to the chair and slept like that for a few hours.
She really has been a good girl through the whole thing. She is still looking for it everywhere we go but I think we have made it through the hard stuff.

Just an update on the chicken pox. We are all better and so far Laynie is staying healthy!
