Thanksgiving Feast.....

It was my turn again to do playgroup. It just so happened to be our Thanksgiving feast this time. I had so much fun coming up with ideas to teach them about the true meaning of thanksgiving. I found some really cute songs on the Internet that I taught them.
They made these cute cards with their had prints then decorated them. They are supposed to give them to someone they are thankful for. I found these really cute turkey headbands at Target in the dollar section!

Then came our big feast. Each girl brought something to share just like the Pilgrims and Indians did. Sophie and I made mini pudding pies and they were a hit!

My Five:

1. Mini Pudding pies: fun to make, fun to eat

2. Getting out the Christmas boxes....so fun!

3. The Internet

4. Finally finishing my family Christmas Card

5. My tornado child that is keeping me on my toes. (Laynie)

I've been bitten......

Last night was our big "Ladies Night" to go see TWILIGHT!!! As you can see there were lots of us from my neighborhood who went to see it. We went to a fancy dinner alone with no kids and then to the show. I had such a great time. I loved the movie and now I am trying to get Bodi to do his hair like Edward! Thanks ladies for a fun night!
My Five:

1. Girls Night Out
2. The opportunity to sing
3. My new laptop!!
4. Bread + oil + balsamic vinegar= yummy
5. Great babysitters

Need something fun to do with the kids in the winter....

go Bowling. On Friday my friends and I took our kids bowling. We are all on a bowling league together so we get to bowl every week. We thought we would take the kids and give them a chance to try it out. Sophie loved every second of it. She got to wear little bowling shoes that were so cute. She even got a few strikes (with the ramps and bumpers of course). Try it out!

1st Dance Recital........

Today was Sophies first dance recital. I was so excited. It seems like I have been waiting my whole life to have a little girl and watch her in her first recital! She did such a great job. She has been sick the past few days so I wasn't sure how happy she would be during the dance but she did fine. They did a little showcase of what they do in class every week. In the second video she is bossing around one of her little friends. (Yes it has started...and yes she is like her Mom!) It was special to have her Grandma Anderson, Aunt Nana Jan and Aunt Hannah there to watch her. She was so excited! I am so proud of her and hope that there are many more recitals to come!

My new favorite quote..........

I believe in Manicures. I believe in Overdressing. I believe in Primping at leisure and wearing Lipstick. I believe that Laughing is the best calorie burner. I Believe in Kissing; Kissing a lot. I believe in Being Strong when everything else seems to be going wrong. I believe Happy Girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day, and I Believe in Miracles.--Audrey Hepburn

Isn't this the best quote! I found this on my blogging friend Auties blog. I am going to put it in my girls bathroom so when they get older they can see it everyday.
