To all my fans....
Sorry to disappoint all of my fans out there but there will be no American Idol audition. Bodi was so excited for me to try out but he didn't have all of the information. I was starting to get a little excited myself until I really looked into how it all worked. It would have been two days of standing in long lines and I couldn't bring my baby who is attached to me at all times. The whole feeding thing wouldn't work! I really didn't feel like sleeping at the ESA just to try out. I am living my dreams now and I don't need to be famous on AI. Thanks for all of your support.

New Scrapbook pages
I had some time to do a few scrapbook pages today. I decided to do my maternity photos. I just love the way that the pictures turned out so I had to use all of them on my pages. On the black and white page I used the lyrics to a song by Collbie Caillat called Capri. If you have not heard that song you need to! It is such a sweet song about being pregnant with a little girl. Here are the words:
She's got a baby inside And holds her belly tight All through the night Just so she knows She's sleeping so Safely to keep Her growing
Oh when she'll open her eyes There'll be no surprise She'll grow to be so beautifully just like her mother that's carrying
Oh Capri She's beauty Baby inside She's loving Oh Capri She's Beauty there is an angle growing peacefully. Oh Capri Sweet Baby
Things will be hard at times But I've learned to try just listening patiently. Oh Capri Sweet Baby Oh Capri She's Beauty Baby inside she's loving Oh Capri you're beauty Just like your mother that's carrying.
I changed the name Capri to Laynie. By the way, the pictures were taken by Abbey Kyhl at AK Studio and Design.

American Idol
So my dear sweet husband has this crazy idea that I am good enough to try out for American Idol. He got the day off of work, got a babysitter and by the way didn't tell me until last night that we were going on Tuesday to audition. So I am asking for some help finding some music to sing. If anyone has any ideas please send them my way!

First Foods!
I was so excited when my doctor told me that I could start Laynie on rice cereal. We sat her in her bumbo chair and she was ready to go! She loved it. She never made a funny face or acted like it was new to her. After a few bites she started lunging towards the spoon and trying to grab it. I think she is going to be a very good eater! Here is a little update: 12lbs 2 oz and 24 inches long. She is my petite girl.

It's a Picture Party
Hey everyone. I know a lot of you guys have seen the pictures of my kids taken by my friend Abbey who is a photographer. She has her own business called AK Studio & Design. Well a lot of you guys have made comments to me saying that you wished she didn't live in Cedar City so that she could do a photo shoot for you. Well today is your lucky day. She emailed me saying that she will be coming up and on Saturday July 19th and she will be opened that whole day to do photo shoots. We have a couple of options... she has a black and white back drop that we could do photos with, or we can do the photos outside at a specific location. I have two great locations in Layton that will be perfect. It will be $99.00 for a 1.5 hour photo shoot. She will give you ALL of your proofs and the copyright to it, as well as she will have you pick out your favorite photos and will edit and touch them up for you for no extra charge. She is a great photographer and works so well with kids. Check out her website for more of her work. The link is under my favorites. So if you are interested in this then let me know because I am going to help her do the scheduling with it.
Laynie is 4 months old!!
My little baby is 4 months old! I don't know why but I am a little sad. She is stating to get to the really fun interactive stage which means that her infant stage is almost over. I love having her in my life and have a hard time remembering not having her even though it has not been very long. She is such a sweet little girl and a very good baby. She is sleeping well at night. Last night she slept until 7am!!! I hope this is a new trend. She is already rolling on both sides and wants to move really bad. She gets upset if she cant reach her toys or if they fall out of her hands. She is a real talker and loves the sound of her little voice. She is still petite and we will find out how big she is next week at the doctor. Can't wait!

Happy 4th!
We love the 4th of July at our house! We had such a fun time celebrating yesterday. We have done lots of driving this summer so we decided to stay close to home this year. We started out our day at the Kaysville parade where we got a great shady spot. Sophie didn't like the sirens very much but she loved the candy and necklaces that they gave away. Last night we had a neighborhood BBQ in our front yard and watched fireworks. Sophie didn't like the sound of the fireworks either so Bodi and I had to take turns holding her ears! We are so thankful to live in this country and to enjoy the freedoms that we have! I hope everyone had a great 4th!
